It was a slog.
Overall, it was an ok movie, waaayyy too long!
I told my wife "It's a screensaver with words"
It is gorgeous to watch, but instead of "Dances with Wolves" in space, it was "Dances with Wolves with Paciific Islanders replacing Native Americans"
Probably worth one watch. It is gorgeous.

Coincidentally, I just borrowed Avatar2 from the library this week. We needed 2 viewings over 2 nights to get through the 3 hour, 12 minute movie.
I'm a little annoyed with the cursing. This movie takes place almost 150 years in the future. They could've believably replaced 21st century curse words with made-up curse words to make it more family friendly. What makes it worse, is that the curses are usually uttered in high stress action sequences so they are YELLING THE CURSE WORDS. Haha. I guess being a parent has made me soft.

It was like watching a pretty video game with bad dialogue and a script with numerous holes in it. It would helped if it was 2hrs or under. It took me a couple days to finish it. I liked it even less than the first one, which isn’t saying much. I won’t watch any of the upcoming sequels. But it made a ton of money so there is an audience for it.

Haven't watched this one yet, but I'll admit I like long movies, particularly the extended cuts. I feel most movies are too short with not enough time left to fully explain a story, which irritates me.

I thought it would be a blending of fantasy that is quasi-believable. Nope.
