Constellation on Apple.
3 eps in, good players, disjointed 3 plots with a pant load of weak dialog. Thankfully, not as much stupid music where the story and players should do the job, but some. Dunno if I'll watch ep 4.
Much like True Detective NIght Country ... meh.

Fargo S5
I watched the 1st couple eps of S1 and hadn't come back.
Until this one. I can't stand Jon Hamm. This part he digs into. Great.
Juno is very good and JJ Leigh is fun as hell.
But the guy who plays Ole Munch (the undead), Sam Spruell is so on top of his small part. 3 plot lines are well merged. Very few poorly placed pop songs. Great ride.

As usual, should you or your eye bones be bored or kilt, I will disavow any knowledge of what I writ here.

Except for a few sci-fi series (Severance, Silo, Battlestar Galactica, etc), US TV is a wasteland and all of the good TV is on Britbox (IMHO of course).

Yes, The Hour was fantastic. Too bad the BBC cancelled it, supposedly due to low viewership.

yea, no accounting for taste no matter where you are.
The Fall
The Capture
Call My Agent/Dix Pour Cent - French
Ghosts UK
Edge of Darkness - very old
State of Play - old
State Within - old

It’s less than convenient the way there’s no intuitive, ‘inline’ way to do it on the forum, but spoilering that bit about Munch would have been nice, as it’s not an early reveal in the series. ;-)

my buddy more or less told me about xxxxxxx before I saw it.
Din't change nothing for me. But I'm slow.

We have been watching a lot of BBC shows as well. Some of the newer American shows move incredibly fast with no or very little character development.

Re: spewing - aka TV review - davester - 02-26-2024

The nice thing about Britbox is that they have a bunch of non-BBC shows too. We especially like some of the Scandinavian shows, like Borgen, Wallander, Murder in Sweden, Rita, etc. A tip...watch these in the native language with subtitles. The dubbed versions are universally horrible.

Beforeigners? That was HBO Scanda. 2 seasons and hoping it comes back, but I think pandemic killed it. HBO certainly won't be doing much.
Borgan was one of the best I'd seen.
