Tennessee birth control - Ombligo - 04-12-2024

The Republican-led Tennessee Legislature has overwhelmingly voted to send GOP Gov. Bill Lee a proposal that would ban marriage between first cousins. The House cast a 75-2 vote Thursday on the bill after the Senate previously approved it without any opposition.

15 states allow first cousins to marry. 12 of them are not in the South .

This has nothing to do specifically with Tennessee, it's about getting rid of outdated family law. Others need to clean house too.

IIRC, nothing wrong with marrying your first cousin, genetically speaking.
