coffee at Trader Joes - Fritz - 04-17-2024 if you're near one and like coffee, TJ currently has a run of Ethiopian Guji that is "light to medium" roasted. It's closer to medium and it's rather nice. $10/12z I think. The bag splits when 1st opened though, so you'll need another storage container. ![]() Re: coffee at Trader Joes - Black - 04-18-2024 What other coffees do you like, so I can gauge your taste? Re: coffee at Trader Joes - mrbigstuff - 04-18-2024 thanks, I'm willing to try on your rec for 10 smackers. I'm a big fan of African coffee in general, although one can find some real clunkers, on occasion. Re: coffee at Trader Joes - Fritz - 04-18-2024 also only African. Mostly Ethiopian and always medium, single origin, no blends. Most times I stray to try something that sounds what I'd like, I'm disappointed. I have a bag of Timor now that is just meh. My friends who were traders on the coffee exchange before they became roasters, faired better for me with some of their South & Central American singles. But Ethiopian kicks them all, every time. I only drink black unless it's espresso or capp. But unlike the Euros, I will drink a capp after 11a. Screw 'em. I did like Vietnamese when I was there, but I have a feeling I wouldn't care for it now. Did I pass? I did recently order from Twiga in Sacramento. Normally I wouldn't order that far from home because of shipping time and handling. But both Ethiopians I bought from them were very good. Re: coffee at Trader Joes - freeradical - 04-18-2024 Wegman's house brand is what I've been drinking. $16 for a 40 ounce bag of whole beans. Medium roast. 100% Arabica Re: coffee at Trader Joes - Lux Interior - 04-19-2024 Folgers, but only after sitting on the burner for a few hours. Like drinking from a dirty ashtray. You don't know what you're missing. |
