Our old Panny Tau was an upper-mid level example of what those peeps like/want. The high-end models can still go for scary high prices. Top end pricing for our old Panny is probably in the neighborhood of $450, but I all I really wanted to do was prove to Mrs. Buzz that I could get at least $300 for it. I blew off a CL haggler at $350, then had it at $325, which our buyer would've happily paid, but I got to prove my point to spousal unit, so off it went. On the (off?) chance that there were any active retro gamers here, I honestly thought my $200 "MRF Special" was really just that. IOW, if anyone here still has a CRT, or two, stashed away, it might pay to check out the retro gamer marketplace...... the flatter/squarer the screen is, is a plus, as are multiple composite and component inputs. Screen adjustability is a windfall, too. Add'l front panel inputs are coveted, and of course the clearer, and sharper, and more vibrant the colors are will definitely up the desirability of your CRT. ![]() == mattkime- may be time for a scavenger hunt at all your new friends' houses.... |
