I kinda suspect that everyone who has that problem is represented in that thread, meaning the thread will make it look like the problem is everywhere but its really pretty rare.
This is the first I've heard of it. No problems with my M2 MBP. I see no reason to think you'll suffer the same problem. There's a very large number of people for which this problem would be a dealbreaker, including myself.

It's a New Jyna Virus that's being spread by the new Mac minis and a threat to our great nation… we've never seen anything like it… Tariffs on this bad boy and Tim Apple are the answer. And only I can fix this problem!
