Good support - Satechi - sekker - 12-19-2024
I have an original M1 Mac Mini (purchased gently used from a fellow MRFer), and I added an external USBC SSD/hub from Satechi. 'Zero foot print' USBhub etc.

Worked fine until May 25 of this year, when it stopped recognizing the SSD.
I tried to trouble-shoot, etc, nothing worked. Put it on a shelf as I was too lazy to recycle it.
I ended up contacting them in case there could be a firmware update etc (was out of warranty). They asked me for info etc. In the end, they offered to replace it. I was only out shipping.
Sent out a little over a week ago, got it back today. Reinstalled the SSD, it's working fine now.
I hope they take it apart for product development / QC issues.

Thanks, Good to know. Haven't used any of their products, but I will consider them next time I need something.

They make nice keyboards. I love the one I use with my Mac Pro, and wish they made an identical layout but with the numeric keypad gone. Way too many keyboard models including the Satechi tenkeyless ones have the Fn key at bottom left where I ALWAYS reach for the control key. Y'all can guess what Fn stands for in my household.
