15.4" Black MacBook with GMA965 Graphics! - sscutchen - 03-09-2007 I wish, I wish, I wish, I wish...... Re: 15.4" Black MacBook with GMA965 Graphics! - SteveO - 03-09-2007 Tease! Re: 15.4" Black MacBook with GMA965 Graphics! - jdc - 03-09-2007 thats not even a good wish Re: 15.4" Black MacBook with GMA965 Graphics! - Chupa Chupa - 03-09-2007 [quote jdc]thats not even a good wish But a realistic one that will come true in a month or so. Re: 15.4" Black MacBook with GMA965 Graphics! - jdc - 03-09-2007 huh? so why make a macbook compete with a macbook pro? Re: 15.4" Black MacBook with GMA965 Graphics! - Filliam H. Muffman - 03-09-2007 [quote sscutchen]I wish, I wish, I wish, I wish...... You wish for something that does not exist? I could not find it on the Intel site. Are you sure you do not mean GMA3000? Re: 15.4" Black MacBook with GMA965 Graphics! - dbow - 03-09-2007 From a marketing standpoint a 15" MacBook doesn't make any sense, unless they really cripple it. I bet we see 965 chipsets eventually though. Intel is supposed to release the Windows drivers for them any day now. Re: 15.4" Black MacBook with GMA965 Graphics! - Sam3 - 03-09-2007 The 965 chipset is a part of the new Centrino package. http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1895,2101695,00.asp?kc=EWEWEMNL030807EP35C "Intel's Santa Rosa platform. Santa Rosa, officially called Centrino Pro (Apple does not use Intel's platform branding), mates a 64-bit Core 2 Duo processor to a new Intel 965 graphics chip, an 800MHz front-side bus and 4MB of Level 2 cache." That should make for a nice Mac. Re: 15.4" Black MacBook with GMA965 Graphics! - Filliam H. Muffman - 03-09-2007 To correct the misleading nomenclature from the lazy Mac news sites, there is no such thing as GMA965. The new Intel G965 chipset is the usually known as the Northbridge chip, and has an integrated graphics controller, the GMA 3000. See the "Intel G965 Express Chipset Block Diagram" on page 3 of http://www.intel.com/products/chipsets/g965/prod_brief.pdf if you are still confused. Re: 15.4" Black MacBook with GMA965 Graphics! - Zoidberg - 03-09-2007 I want a matte black MacBook Pro. I remember fondly my old Lombard PowerBook, and I like the look of the matte black MacBook. |
