What Rez external LCD for MacBook Pro? - TLB - 03-09-2007 Looking at a 20.1" I can get a 1600x1200 or 1680x1050 widescreen. Work will be 90% text (technical writing) so I'm learning toward the regular resolution. Any suggestions? Re: What Rez external LCD for MacBook Pro? - itsmylittlebrothersbike - 03-09-2007 I had the 20" ACD until went home over the holidays and worked on my fathers 23". Needless to say that is what I use now. If you will ever use the display for iPhoto, iTunes, iMovie etc. you will love the extra real estate. The larger size also helps my productivity. I think you would be most happy with the wide screen. Re: What Rez external LCD for MacBook Pro? - jdc - 03-09-2007 i run many monitors in my studio -- three Dell 2001FPs ( 1600 X 1200 ), two 2005FPs (1680 X 1050) and a 2405 (1920 X 1200) and i will take the 1600 X 1200 everyday of the week and twice on sunday -- unless you go up to the 1920 X 1200 the 20" wide looks small to me however, the new 22" 1680 X 1050s look better, but i have yet to look at one up close |
