My PSMA PET scan is late this afternoon. I'd appreciate any and all positive thoughts and prayers. I'm not really too nervous about doing the test it's the pending results that's got me and I'm not sure when I'll hear the results.
BTW: It's already been decided that the prostate needs to come out after a lengthy visit with my Urologist. He said at my age of 62 he would not recommend radiation seed therapy. He said if there's a cancer recurrence after radiation then they have to do what he called a Salvage Surgery and that can get messy fast. I can't get an appointment with the surgeon that's going to robotically remove it until April 1. I'm sure if it has spread I'm looking at a whole different scenario.

I underestimated how stressful waiting for results can be. I’m waiting for my (biannual?) PSA right now. Try to enjoy yourself and stay occupied! Things will work out.

Thanks everyone.
I don't have any results yet but the scan wasn't bad at all. They flush out a vein and give one syringe of radioactive tracer and you wait like 45 minutes and the scan lasted like 15 minutes. They actually called and wanted to know if I could come in a little early and said yes, jumped in some loose fitting clothes and we hit the road. Hopefully we'll know something by morning. I'll give an update when I get it.
I did find this out, wow that's small.
What level PSA can PSMA PET scan detect?
In people who have an early recurrence of prostate cancer, a PSMA PET scan can detect PSA as low as 0.2 or 0.3 nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL). A nanogram is one-billionth of a gram, and a milliliter is 1/1,000 of a liter.
With a PSA level of about 0.5 ng/ML, there’s about a 50% chance of finding a mass of about 5 millimeters (mm) in size.
