Just one of many numbers that will keep generating. Good catch. Thanks.

I laugh when I get these text messages. We do not own a car.

My wife just got one today. I've gotten several over the last couple of weeks. My response: "Moron" but I don't imagine anybody is reading responses.

DO NOT respond! Engagement shows the scammers ONE THING - that they have a chance.

These are the worst of the badly crafted phishing scams.

Very amateurish, from a hotmail address, with some dumbass name not even remotely related to any agency.

I got my first, and only one so far, yesterday.

I hav e received several off those over time.
1. Number to call based in Philippines
2. Email is a gmail account

Don't think(in my case), Massachusetts uses either of those.

I received one of these texts last week. I sent a message back laughing, as it was from a Hotmail.com address. Also from the California toll road system. I haven't been in California in years and did not rent a car. Nice try.

Don’t say I didn’t warn ya.

Re: PSA: EZpass tolls - text phishing - gabester - 02-28-2025

Yes, and pdq, anyone who knows the Illinois Tollway knows it will happily let you rack up tolls for weeks, only sending out a single notice by mail to your 3rd most recent previous address, at the 17th week mark, notifying you that if you don't pay within 7 business days a $100-per-infraction fine will be added on top of the already quadrupled missed tolls and $25 mandatory violation fees. If you go another 14 days after that, charges will double again.

It's impressive how they can turn $1.25 into $130. And by impressive I mean literal highway robbery!
