Nice little 10Gbps USB-C Hub - $14 - anonymouse1 - 03-18-2025

I picked up one of these for my, and it's worked well enough that I got one for home: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D1XLNWP2

Nice selection of ports: two 10 Gbps USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, two 10 Gbps USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, 4K 60Hz HDMI and 100W Power Delivery. I haven't done any exacting work via the HDMI port, just some word processing an a video call; it was fine for that.

I'm going to hang onto this to use with my USB-C 3.2 drives until I decide to upgrade everything up to Thunderbolt. No rush.

Aw!

From the subject line, I thought you were talking about one of these:

(Awesome for wiping a bunch of devices at a time using Configurator.)

I grabbed this one last month to expand the top front ports on my 2019 MP. Works really well.

Thanks for the link. From my limited experience, UGREEN has some pretty decent stuff.

I needed to hook up a 2017 MPB (only 2 ports) to an external display and external keyboard/mouse (while still being able to charge it). It's a band aid solution, but the laptop screen is dead, and this will bide some time for a family member who needs a machine, and this will allow them to use it in clamshell mode.

I have some good hubs and docking stations as well as a 4K monitor that would do the trick, but they are all in use, and I did not want to part with them, and I couldn't locate any of the USB-C to HDMI dongles that must be around here somewere.

This thing was $14 plus tax and arrived next day. Works perfectly for my needs. Even if I don't use it long term, it's a nice thing to have. Especially for the price.

Does only the powered USB-C port work with hard drives? Or all of them? Thanks.

I plug an AC adapter into the PD port, and it charges my M1 MBA, so I assume you could do the same thing with HDs.
