Re-Screening 3 Season Porch. What Screen? - chopper - 04-26-2025

My 3 season porch needs to be re-screened. I did it the last time in maybe 2006. It is metal screen. 60x100.

Semi local home store is $150.

Local building supply place is $400.

Both are metal screen with no real details.

What I have now is a darker metal screen and would like to get that again. The place this was purchased at in 2006 no longer exists.

60 x 100. Or 6,000 sq. ft. That’s a big porch. Congrats!

Can you get a small amount of each to do a side-by-side comparison? Even then, you could replace the cheaper screen almost three times to match the price of the other.

I suspect the 60x100 is the size of each screen in INCHES and of course he needs a number of these depending on the porch size.

Otherwise, for a porch of 60x100 feet, no way that would be a $150-$400 job.

Maybe I am wrong.

They don't have wrap-around porch on old houses up there? Isn't there a big one still on 94 just past the cloud?

They do have big porches, just not that big.
