Deal Or Scam? Seems Too Good To Be True (Weed Trimmers) - Rick-o - 04-29-2025 Looking to replace my weed trimmers. I have had really good luck with these factory refurb Feather Lite trimmers. I can't find them new, and I haven't shopped beyond the big boy sellers on the web for quite some time. Do they look legit, or are my spidey senses tingling correctly? One is a ceramic shop, and the other is an outdoor fitter. https://bigleemusic.com/product/weed-eater-feather-lite-sst25c-25cc-gas-string-trimmer-refurbished/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22377154504&gbraid=0AAAAAq8bgP_8aubdV76rpx0Anv7J6rck0&gclid=Cj0KCQjwzrzABhD8ARIsANlSWNMolJj0NLaBR2hBnz6EzEz4vua_ntbil5aUOoGsYl0dS57NN6YtNGYaAjTWEALw_wcB https://trippinsolo.com/product/weed-eater-feather-lite-sst25c-25cc-gas-string-trimmer-refurbished/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22304816350&gbraid=0AAAAA--X-buiAC22o_9JCMLY1af_itmN9&gclid=Cj0KCQjwzrzABhD8ARIsANlSWNPFmhFpUjtJrEHRKtOgFrr-Lt6I5iUBx61P6CgvuwtUYKe43QtM4mkaAvDxEALw_wcBhttps://trippinsolo.com/product/weed-eater-feather-lite-sst25c-25cc-gas-string-trimmer-refurbished/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22304816350&gbraid=0AAAAA--X-buiAC22o_9JCMLY1af_itmN9&gclid=Cj0KCQjwzrzABhD8ARIsANlSWNPFmhFpUjtJrEHRKtOgFrr-Lt6I5iUBx61P6CgvuwtUYKe43QtM4mkaAvDxEALw_wcB Re: Deal Or Scam? Seems Too Good To Be True (Weed Trimmers) - Black - 04-29-2025 I have a pair like these that I found useful for trimming weed. ![]() Re: Deal Or Scam? Seems Too Good To Be True (Weed Trimmers) - C(-)ris - 04-29-2025 Doesn't look legit to me. How big is your lot? I bought a Echo battery string trimmer and will never go back to a gas one again. Uses the same battery as my mower, goes through about half the charge doing a standard sized lot. If you already have a bunch of cordless tools and batteries just get one that uses the same battery. Re: Deal Or Scam? Seems Too Good To Be True (Weed Trimmers) - special - 04-29-2025 Look at the domain info for those websites. How long they were registered? Any feedback? Re: Deal Or Scam? Glad to see this. I loved my Echo gas trimmer, but like you say, once you get some battery operated tools you will never go back. I've been in the EGO ecosystem for over 10 years now, so it was only a matter of time until I go rid of the noisy gas-powered Echo. The decision was a lot easier when I knew my father-in-law would be happy to use it (and maintain it). Re: Deal Or Scam? Seems Too Good To Be True (Weed Trimmers) - Ombligo - 04-29-2025 You are in luck - Project Farm has tested trimmers. I just watched it yesterday. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrOkIPQ1gJk&ab_channel=ProjectFarm Re: Deal Or Scam? Seems Too Good To Be True (Weed Trimmers) - wurm - 04-29-2025 I abandoned my old Feather-Lite several years ago in favor of the Ryobi. We don't have a lot to trim and I already have several Ryobi batteries, so it made sense for us. I replaced parts more than once on the old Feather-Lite, and it was always a pita to deal with, even as infrequently as I needed it. That said, those sites do look a bit sketchy. Reminds me of a couple of similar sites that a google search always uncovers as scam sites. Re: Deal Or Scam? I'm hiring one of my friends workers, who will work for me one day a week doing odd jobs such as weed trimming. I am considering going electric, as I just upgraded my Ryobi gear batteries last year. I'm wondering if the battery trimmer might be too wimpy for the said job though. Electric tools such as this is surely the future. Re: Deal Or Scam? Why didn't *I* think of that? Yeah, looks to be scam sites. One residential, the other a bank? :dunno: |
