Replies haven't worked ever since the outage. And lots of 1969 dates ever since then too.
So, nobody needs to break anything, it's still broken.

I couldn't log in and had to create a new account. Spock is now WasSpock.

That's the issue more than being able to reply to psots. You can reply if you create a new account with a new username. Shouldn't have to make a new account, but many are having to do that - and those who do that can't use their "old" name, because that's still in the old DB. At least variations are allowed…

I struggled a bit getting my account reactivated (had to change the password and that took a few tries) but eventually I made it in so here I am!
