Might be an opportunity to revive your old screenname later.
For now, the only solution that I've found for myself is to start over. Can't PM the admin to ask for help if every click ends in a permissions or authorization error.
...Might be a little easier for me to start over than for some.

I think it’s about being able to know who is who, if the names change, and also about losing access to all your old PMs and files and post counts and such.
It’s not a huge deal, but it is yet one more thing to get used to.

At least for me, it doesn't seem like PM's and files from the old forum have been transferred over (maybe it's still being worked on).

I was able to reset my password and log in to my old account. I don't see any PMs.

I created a new account but it says my "Jerry®" is taken - by me from our old forums. Hopefully Troy can restore my username at least. yes I PMd him.

Did you try logging into "Jerry®"? I was able to use my old user name to login, but I had to reset my password.
