GarageSale iBooks all gone... - Harbourmaster - 03-13-2007 Looks like the SmallDog GS iBooks are all sold out. I caved in this morning and bought 2, there were still 8 available when I bought mine at around 10:00AM PST. Anybody get theirs yet?? Re: GarageSale iBooks all gone... - C(-)ris - 03-13-2007 They probably waited till they were all sold before they started mailing them. Wouldn't want people to actually know what they are getting. I mean, not only were the discriptions vauge...what little info they gave was 90% wrong. Re: GarageSale iBooks all gone... - mattkime - 03-13-2007 mine are due to arrive tomorrow. i was hoping it would arrive before they sold out. don't we have a forum member up in vermont? he/she should have popped by and picked one up so they could report back to the forum. it'll be interesting to hear everyone weigh in with what they got. Re: GarageSale iBooks all gone... - Jp! - 03-13-2007 and these supposedly are BROKEN, right? Re: GarageSale iBooks all gone... - mattkime - 03-13-2007 >>and these supposedly are BROKEN, right? A number of us around here have a much smaller definition of "broken" than the general population. Re: GarageSale iBooks all gone... - incognegro - 03-13-2007 i wish i would have known before i send $75 to someone for a replacement LCD. $25 would have been an acceptable risk to take. Re: GarageSale iBooks all gone... - $tevie - 03-13-2007 They were $25 iBooks. I haven't been able to figure out what people were hoping to find out by waiting. I would have assumed that each one has a different flaw/problem than the next. It's an iBook that costs $25 and doesn't work. What could they be "hiding" from you? Re: GarageSale iBooks all gone... - BillMac - 03-13-2007 I snagged several last year. All had bad mobos. I did tear down and sell pieces though (RAM, HD, CD-ROM, screens). Re: GarageSale iBooks all gone... - Gilbert - 03-13-2007 You never know with SD - I bought a G5 Dual 2.0GHz listed 'as-is unknown condition' during their last Garage Sale - the case was thrashed but the computer booted fine and was still under Applecare. I ended up buying a new case for it, used it for a few months, then sold it on eBay and doubled my money. |
