iX3D Ultimate Rez - macphanatic - 04-02-2007 Found one lying around. Is it good for anything other than the trash? Re: iX3D Ultimate Rez - Racer X - 04-02-2007 weighing down papers on your desk? Re: iX3D Ultimate Rez - JoeH - 04-02-2007 It will work as an unaccelerated PCI display card, not much more under OS X. Will do somewhat more under OS 9 if you can find a driver download. I read reports a couple of years ago of software hacks to the Apple driver for the near equivalent OEM card to get it to do more under OS X, but never tried that. Re: iX3D Ultimate Rez - mikebw - 04-02-2007 depends on what computer you have too, many older PCI cards won't even work in some G5's, even if they have PCI slots. Re: iX3D Ultimate Rez - macphanatic - 04-02-2007 Anyone want it for the cost of shipping? Re: iX3D Ultimate Rez - JoeH - 04-02-2007 Not me, I already have one in my StarMax I run the occasional piece of software that will not run in Classic on. Re: iX3D Ultimate Rez - Dick Moore - 04-02-2007 That card has the unbelievable amount of 8MB RAM! Re: iX3D Ultimate Rez - Joey Cupcakes - 04-02-2007 No drivers for that card under OS X. Re: iX3D Ultimate Rez - Joey Cupcakes - 04-02-2007 [quote Dick Moore]That card has the unbelievable amount of 8MB RAM! Well heck, I remember when I bought my Atari 800 with a whopping 64k of RAM! The hype on the box said, "What will you do with all that power?" Re: iX3D Ultimate Rez - Racer X - 04-02-2007 remember when you got that 3 pack of condoms, and thought "wow, I'm set for the entire summer"? |
