How cold in your area last night? - DaviDC. - 04-07-2007

It got down to 28º in Birmingham & is supposed to be 26 tonight. I brought LOTS of plants inside & covered yard plants with sheets & tarps in an attempt to save 'em from the cold. I just got through removing the covers & will have to do it all again tonight. Damn this weather!!

This sucks! It was 18º F last night at 10:30. I hate blackberry winter!

16° in south central Iowa. All of the tulips, daffodils, and other spring flowers are lying flat to the ground. Don't know what will happen to them all.

Made the drive from Reno to Tahoe last night over Mt Rose (8500 feet). 48 degrees at midnight...no wonder Tahoe ski season is going to be ending a month early!

It was 29 this morning and it's 38 right now, suppose to be 23 by morning, Central NC. It was 85 this past Wed.

28 degrees last night (ocean tempered, colder inland), 24 tonite.
Supposed to be under 32 at night for almost the next whole week.

I may get home today to put an extra blanket of mulch on tender things that are up that the deer haven't already eaten. (most things recover) Poppies leaves look awful, like frost damage, but they endure Winter partially exposed. At least we have nothing blossoming that would lose blossoms or fruit due to the cold. Not far enough along into Spring yet, here. (Mass.)

One warm day in January and it is global warming news wall to wall. 2 feet of snow in April is just a fluke.
