Mini upgrade is sweet! - Tommie Milwaukee - 04-10-2007 Upgraded a 1.5 Core Solo mini to a 2.16 Core Duo with 2 gig ram & a Superdrive. It was pretty easy & everything works great. Temperature Monitor Says CPU is running at around 38 degrees. Nice. This sucker flies! Re: Mini upgrade is sweet! - sscutchen - 04-10-2007 38 degrees? That's, like, almost FREEZING! Mini upgrade leader! Re: Mini upgrade is sweet! - Grateful11 - 04-10-2007 [quote Tommie Milwaukee]Upgraded a 1.5 Core Solo mini to a 2.16 Core Duo with 2 gig ram & a Superdrive. Re: Mini upgrade is sweet! - blusubaru - 04-10-2007 I've been looking to do the same project once the core2duo Minis come out and the solo 1.5's come down about another $100. Add to that a ministack and some type of hd tuner/recorder and it'll go right into my home entertainment center. Please keep us posted on how it's running for you! Re: Mini upgrade is sweet! - Buzz - 04-10-2007 totally agree w/ redsubaru... a c2duo upgraded mini w/ a booster pack would make for a tasty home helper... if only the mothership would catch an occasional drift. good work TM. Re: Mini upgrade is sweet! - Jp! - 04-10-2007 Yes, Tommie, I think all of us Mini owners would appreciate a write-up on your upgrade, including prices/suppliers. Thanks in advance. Re: Mini upgrade is sweet! - Jem - 04-10-2007 Yes... details, please! Especially, was your upgrade Core Duo or Core *2* Duo? Parts prices, and suppliers would be useful too. Thanks, and congrats! |
