Mini upgrade is sweet! - Tommie Milwaukee - 04-10-2007

Upgraded a 1.5 Core Solo mini to a 2.16 Core Duo with 2 gig ram & a Superdrive. It was pretty easy & everything works great. Temperature Monitor Says CPU is running at around 38 degrees. Nice. This sucker flies!

38 degrees? That's, like, almost FREEZING!

Mini upgrade leader!

How much did it run you?

I've been looking to do the same project once the core2duo Minis come out and the solo 1.5's come down about another $100. Add to that a ministack and some type of hd tuner/recorder and it'll go right into my home entertainment center. Please keep us posted on how it's running for you!

totally agree w/ redsubaru... a c2duo upgraded mini w/ a booster pack would make for a tasty home helper...

if only the mothership would catch an occasional drift. good work TM.

Yes, Tommie, I think all of us Mini owners would appreciate a write-up on your upgrade, including prices/suppliers.

Thanks in advance.

Yes... details, please!

Especially, was your upgrade Core Duo or Core *2* Duo?

Parts prices, and suppliers would be useful too.

Thanks, and congrats!
