Sci-fi's Pain Killer Jane - Grumpyguy - 04-16-2007 This reminds me of when Sci-fi cancelled Farscape and replaced it with Tremors. Now they cancel Stargate and replace it with another inferior show. Painkiller was nearly unwatchable this Friday. No plot, no relation to the movie. The bad guys suck already. And while we are at it, what is with Sci-fi and the length between seasons? BSG won't show again until January. Eureaka won't be on again until July. (When did last years season end?) Even if people love these shows, the long wait between new seasons surely has to kill interest in the show. Yet Sci-fi seems to make bonehead mistake after bonehead mistake. Rant off : ) Re: Sci-fi's Pain Killer Jane - Forrest - 04-16-2007 I don't think the SciFi channel is trying to sell Painkiller Jane as a SG1 replacement. While I'm a fan of SG1, I think the show is starting to show it's age - it was the right thing to cancel the series IMHO. The good news is at least one SG1 movie is in the works and I expect them to wrap up the storylines. There's no doubt the SciFi channel puts out a lot of junk (especially their movies), but there are a few good series they've made. I'd recommend the Dresden Files if you haven't already seen it. Re: Sci-fi's Pain Killer Jane - MacMagus - 04-16-2007 > no relation to the movie. That's a GOOD thing. The movie royally sucked. > I don't think the SciFi channel is trying to sell Painkiller Jane as a SG1 replacement. Me neither. They'll mess around with a few low-budget shows in that time spot until they figure somethng out. 'Probably end up licensing a show from another network again. Re: Sci-fi's Pain Killer Jane - BigGuynRusty - 04-16-2007 [quote Grumpyguy]Eureaka won't be on again until July. (When did last years season end?) 13. Once in a Lifetime First aired: 10/3/2006 Production Code: 112 In the first-season finale, Stark is given a chance to try the top-secret Artifact. Once it's tested, Eureka warps into the future and ends up in 2010, where the town is different. BGnR |
