help an ipod nano noob separate the audio books from the music during shuffle - thekingofboggle - 05-16-2007 hey all, i bought my wife the 1st gen ipod nano for her birthday and we are trying to set her up. she wants to have her audio book (learn to speak french) on her nano but she finds that when she hits shuffle, to listen to a music mix, tracks of her audio book well pop up in the mix. i had a look at it, thinking there must be a way around this, but shuffle is at a lower level than the playlist selection so i couldn't seem to find a way to do this. any know how to? Re: help an ipod nano noob separate the audio books from the music during shuffle - dbow - 05-16-2007 I think if you assign "Audiobooks" as a genre to the book tracks they don't shuffle. Re: help an ipod nano noob separate the audio books from the music during shuffle - RAMd®d - 05-16-2007 I don't know that changing the genre to Audiobooks will be enough. One can do a Cmd-I on a title, select the Options tab, and check the Skip when shuffling box . In iTunes, select one audiobook file, then go to the end of those files, press the Shift key, and click on the last one in the list. This will highlight all the files you selected. Hit Cmd-I, and you can check that box for multiple files, saving a little time. Re: help an ipod nano noob separate the audio books from the music during shuffle - vicrock - 05-16-2007 Make a playlist with the music - select the playlist and shuffle it. |
