Sig or Glock? - Jp! - 05-19-2007

p239 or g26? Why?

Re: Sig or Glock? - itsmylittlebrothersbike - 05-19-2007

Two good choices. The 26 is a little on the fat side, but after having a 19 for years, the piece of mind it brings is priceless (never one stove pipe, misfire, jam) The Sig quality is up there as well. I looked at both of these about 2 months ago before deciding on a Kahr PM9. I could not find any deals on the Sig at the time and I already have Glocks so I gave the Kahr a try. What caliber are you looking at, and are you able to fire both before purchase?

Rather than say what I'd like here, I'll just call "political post" and leave it at that.

G30.
Can't buy them in LA County anymore.
Hand Cannon!
Also picked up four 15 round clips, and two 30 round clips. Yep, also illegal.

G30...that's alot of gun!

Re: Sig or Glock? - Paul F. - 05-19-2007

Never could get used to the Glock trigger.. and call me a traditionalist, but I don't like the Glocks lack of a manual interlock safety... Even though the Glock trigger and striker action is quite safe for carry.

I like the grip feel of the Sig far better.

Both are fine shooters, and reliable choices, however.

I also like the Browning Hi-Power in .40 S&W. I very rarely "carry", but when I do, that's what I carry.

Written any stories or plays lately you'd let us read, Rusty?

Oh, and this is no more political than "what car should I buy", or "what brand of alcohol should I drink tonight".

Anyone who chooses to get snarky can turn THOSE posts political also.

BS. What if a subject line were "Black market morning-after pill, or standard medical procedure?"

Sig, all the way. Like Paul I never liked the trigger feel of the Glock. I owned a 17 for a few years and never enjoyed shooting it.

One day at the range I tried their worn out 92 and thought, OK, this is what it's supposed to feel like. I ditched the 17 and got a new 92FS.

The Sig gives me a similar feel. It shoots like a traditional pistol. Glock always felt like there was too much quick takeup and then SNAP, like a stapler.
