My GhettoBook... - microchip13 - 05-21-2007

Is not 100% finished. All I have left to do is paint over in black on the Back Lid, the red will shine through as a logo.

Anyway, let me say that putting this thing back together has been the biggest PITMFA I have had in a while. I ended with more screws than I started(But I'm not too concerned to be honest).

I'm fairly happy, but I will confess that overall it was probably a bit better off before I tampered with it.

The Display is fixed but the inverter cable is a little finnicky, again, not a huge deal. It works at the angles I use.

The feet were originally missing so I filled them and painted over it. The Battery required the same.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the results. It will by no means be a computer for everything but it will be a nice kind of 'beater' to write my books and stuff on and not worry too much about it at school.

Thanks all to those who have contributed.

Also, I will post some more pictures when I have the final logo done on the back.

The a company (exo?) that makes a rubber skin for the keyboard that is BLACK with WHITE lettering. I think that's what you need to make this FrankenMac complete.

You painted the outside of the plastics?

If so, I hope you used Krylon Fusion Paints
