I'd like to know how many of you use hard cases, soft cases, keyboard and palm rest overlays, to protect your laptops from damage. I'm thinking about a silicone overlay
for the keyboard and palmrest, and a hard shell for the outside of the MacBook.

Maybe even in red. Oh. Yeah.

How about you?

I have the red Incase Neoprene Sleeve that they sell at the Apple Store for my black MacBook.

I just throw it in a Kensington Saddlebag laptop bag when not in use.

Well, not really. I just stash it under my chair or sofa. The MacBook is pretty durable. I just wipe it down with some iKlear once in a while.

padded sleeves for all the laptops that fit in either rolling cases or carrying cases. no extra keyboard. palmrest or hard shell protection, and like others, try to keep the klutzy types several feet away at all times...

Clear hard case here.
Same thing for my MacBook!
:-)

I have a padded laptop backpack for the times when it actually leaves the house, otherwise it just sits there, waiting to be used. The palm rest had turned a disgusting shade of yellow but Apple replaced it when it had to be sent back for the dead hard drive.

I use the Speck Clear case and the Marware palm rest pad for my MBP

If you want a good deal on the Speck designed for the older CoreDuo MBP they are a bargain here

If you have a Core2Duo you will need to modify it

Archi, lmao.

My PB has a home-brewed screen protector...a dollar or two worth of leatherette fabric from fabric store cut to cover the keyboard when I go mobile. For cases, I have a couple different ones -- 2 Spires and an Ogio backpack ($8 clearancy buy at Target, dig it), and a leather backpack. http://www.spireusa.com makes both padded sleeves (also available as standalone purchase) and bags. Good stuff.

Spek-tek clear case here. That's about it - I put it in a standard old laptop bag when I carry it around.
