Can anyone explain AT&T rollover minutes to me? - JJ - 09-13-2007

I have a cold and I am old and I haven't lived in the US since 2000 (Also, I didn't have a cell phone then). Can anyone translate AT&Ts rollover minutes from the text below?

* Unused Rollover Minutes expire after the 12th billing period of the month accumulated in. Night and Weekend and Mobile to Mobile Minutes do not roll over.

Rollover Minutes: Rollover Minutes accumulate and expire through 12 rolling bill periods. Bill Period 1 (activation) unused Anytime Minutes will not carry over. Bill Period 2 unused Anytime Minutes will begin to carry over. Rollover Minutes accumulated starting with Bill Period 2 will expire each bill period as they reach a 12 bill period age. Rollover Minutes will also expire immediately upon default or if customer changes to a non-Rollover plan. If you change plans (including the formation of a FamilyTalk plan), or if an existing subscriber joins your existing FamilyTalk plan, any accumulated Rollover Minutes in excess of your new plan or the primary FamilyTalk line’s included Anytime Minutes will expire. Rollover Minutes are not redeemable for cash or credit and are not transferable.

1st month - unused minutes are lost
2nd month - unused minutes are carried over and expire upon entering month 14 of your contract.
3rd month - unused minutes are carried over and expire upon entering month 15 of your contract.

In any month that you surpass your contract minutes, the overage is deducted from your rollover minutes, starting with the oldest first. Obviously, there would be no rollover minutes added to your account that month.

Thanks for that macphanatic. I knew I was misreading something. I think I figured out what I was misconstruing...

I thought WTF, 12 billing periods in one month? I see where I was misreading it now.

Thanks,

JJ

I understood it, but they worded it poorly. They need top learn to word service agreements so that the average 10 year old can make sense of it.
