I'm starting to HATE VOIP. - spacescape - 09-13-2007 10 of our lines are via Voip here at work via mcleod. Must be a major outage because I cannot get through to customer care to push our main number to the 4 copper lines (POTS). The sh*t is hitting the fan and unfortunately I can't duck. ![]() At least my sales rep picks up the phone to acknowledge it's not just us. We had switched to McLeod at our business and had them for about seven years. We had a regular land line, but the service was excellent (and a whole lot cheaper than Qwest), and I was sorry they didn't have residential service where we live. It's too bad you're having trouble. Re: I'm starting to HATE VOIP. - spacescape - 09-14-2007 We went from LDMI which merged w/ Talk american and now Cavalier... Their customer service sucked the big one... One thing I'll say about McLeod is that up until today, they always picked up the phone w/i a few minutes. They had an outage across several states... MAJOR... The lady said that she looked down at one point and saw 500+ people on hold. I am getting a busy signal but according to her everything is back up and running and I just need to reset my modem when I get to work. However, she couldn't even set our call forwarding up based on that system being down. YIKES. Someone is going down for this. Bill |
