When did "brown" become "chocolate"? - miK. - 09-15-2007 I swear I have heard someone describe something brown as "chocolate" about 3 times in the last week. What gives? A beautiful chocolate leather sofa... Maybe they think since (just about) everyone loves chocolate, that you MUST love this "chocolate" item too... Others: • If I hear my boss tell me I need to "engage" a co-worker again (as in work with) • The overuse of the word "literally" (even worse when pronounced LIT-TRA-LEE) • The dreaded "issues" continues, and I continue ask the person using it point blank "So what is the PROBLEM?" :-) Feel free to add some of your own! m Re: When did "brown" become "chocolate"? - BigGuynRusty - 09-15-2007 Brown is not Chocolate Brown. There is a difference. Sky Blue is not Sea Blue. BGnR Re: When did "brown" become "chocolate"? - Racer X - 09-15-2007 Nor is chocolate brown necessarily poop brown. Re: When did "brown" become "chocolate"? - blooz - 09-15-2007 About the same time that light brown, AKA "beige," became "ecru.' Speaking of bad language, dangling participles really annoy me.
