She had oatmeal with Wilford Bremley?

That's too bad. I don't think she could have won the gold but she sure is pretty to watch. So graceful.

I think she just wanted to be in the athlete's parade once more.

Ho, hum.

The Olympics started?

What's up with this statement by Peter Ueberroth?

Said USOC chairman Peter Ueberroth: "Michelle Kwan means more to the United States Olympic Committee than maybe any athlete that has ever performed for the U.S. Olympic Committee. [Her absence] is a real loss to the United States Olympic Committee, to the United States of America and to the world, and she made a courageous decision."

"What's up with this statement by Peter Ueberroth?"

Talk about over the top! That makes me want to see Emily Hughes do well even more.

This is extremely over-the-top. She means more than Jesse Owens? Carl Lewis? Tonya Harding? Just kidding...

How many times can YOU say "United States Olympic Committee"?

And yes, that statement is way over the top.

Michelle Kwan has a lot of class. After Sarah Hughes won the gold medal at Salt Lake, she had no idea how to mount the podium to receive her medal--she had never stood at the top. Michelle Kwan showed her how to gracefully climb the platform. Don't hold Ueberroth's comments against her--I think Ueberroth was trying--clumsily--so say how much Kwan has meant to American figure skating. She was a great help after the Nancy Kerrigan-Tonya Harding years.
