What's the app to tell what resources are being used? - M A V I C - 11-30-2007

I think someone here once mentioned an app that would give one the breakdown, for example, of what resources WindowServer was using. This is more detailed than Activity Monitor, which just gives a breakdown of WindowServer as a whole.

TIA

Task Manager? (there is no 'activity monitor' name that I am familiar with on the Windows-side).

...or is this something on the Mac side of things (i.e. running Windows app(s) within OSX)?

WindowServer, not Windows Server.

Look on your Mac's Activity Monitor, sort by Process Name, scroll down to W and you'll see it.

Activity Monitor is the only one I know of...
I'm probably misunderstanding, but it DOES show a lot more than what WindowServer is using..
I think...

I'm confused and undercaffeinated... at least one of those things I can fix...

If I recall correctly, there was something that would allow you to select each resource of WindowServer and it would highlight on the screen what was using it.

Now I think I see what you're saying...
Not ringing any bells though.
