I'm looking to get a Matias "half keyboard" at work to free up one hand for the trackball, and was curious if it was possible to remap the keys on the "half keyboard" to a more Mac friendly configuration, without affecting my Apple Po Keyboard stock settings.
Their support page simply says to remap the keys, not thinking of it being in adddition to a standard keyboard. I'm on a G4 runninng Tiger.
Make sense?

Quickeys can do this but it costs a lot .There are shareware progams like iKey that might also do it, but I am not familiar with their capabilities. I've used Quickeys since my Mac plus. Can't live without it. Worth every penny.
Seems like Matias should provide an app for this.

Well, I want to use it IN ADDITION to my standard Apple Pro keyboard.
Will Quickeys let you "identify" which keyboard you want to remap while leaving the other one stock?

Yes, you can identify which input device will respond to a quickeys shortcut. You could make a set of shortcuts to remap the half keyboard and leave the regular keyboard alone.
It's a really great utility. I actually hate using someone else's Mac because none of my shortcuts work.
