Will DDR2 (MacBook RAM) work where plain DDR 5300 is called for? - Jimmypoo - 12-19-2007

Just wondering.... have a peecee that uses it -- but wanted to suggest to someone with same specs AND density that they try the latest RAM that is DDR2 instead - hoping it would just slow down to the matching RAM.

Anyone ever try???

The cost factor makes it either RAM for them or NO ram for them. DDR2 is cheap

Nope. The SO-DDR2 is just a hair wider and won't fit in a SO-DDR slot.
