Now, if I can just get Doctor, Doctor on DVD... Loved them both. Never understood why Terry Farrell left ST DS9 for Becker, then left Becker for ?? **EDIT** According to an IMDB poster, she was fired from ST DS9, and Becker by Paramount. Which I found highly suspect because if she was fired from ST DS9, why would they hire her again? BGnR Re: Now, what the hell is your problem? "Becker" coming to DVD - Zoidberg - 01-11-2008 "Doctor, Doctor" was amazingly under-appreciated. I thought it was hilarious. It often got pre-empted and for a while was one of those oddity series when CBS was trying to do a non-hour late hour -- usually the last hour block before the local news is a single show; i.e., one hour. CBS experimented with two half-hour shows in that last hour on Monday nights for a while (it didn't stick). Whatever the case, I sure as hell wish it'd come to DVD. | Want to sort of vote to get it on DVD? From the Wiki linked above: Farrell starred as Lieutenant Commander Jadzia Dax, Deep Space 9's Starfleet Science Officer, a character who is host to a 300-year old symbiont and can draw upon the memories and knowledge of the symbiont's six previous hosts. Although she played the character for the series' first six years, she made the decision to leave the show at the end of the sixth season. As a result, Paramount Pictures decided to kill off Farrell's character. Re: Now, what the hell is your problem? "Becker" coming to DVD - RAMd®d - 01-12-2008 From what I've read, and now from the Wiki, I think Farrell shot herself in the foot, twice, and the second time, seriously. I've never liked Travis; never thought she was an entertaining actor, or funny. I watched two episodes of Becker with her, and said "Sayonara". But I really liked the show. |
