For Apple to fill the hole in their product line between the mini and the Mac Pro.
Why can't they make a "Mac" that doesn't include a display built into it, has some
expandability? I don't need an 8 core supercomputer (or its price!).

I'd like one too, but I suspect it will be a very long wait that will end in frustration.
Not a compromised design-over-function computer like the Cube or MB Air, but a workhorse like a IIci.
I'd even settle for a mini with a discrete low-end video card.
Alas, such a machine doesn't fit into their business plan.

Lot of people were hoping for a mini-book. Now that is not coming from Apple in the near future some may go with this or the like . http://eeepc.asus.com/global/product.htm
