QS 933, would not start up, booted off Tiger DVD and ran utilities and got this error:
Incorrect number of thread records.
would not repair disk.
For some reason Disk Warrior won't boot either now.
Any ideas? If I put the hard drive into an external box wonder if it would show up on another mac? Thought I could attempt Disk Warrior from there.

how about trying to start it up in Firewire Target Mode and use DW from there?

I've lobbied for a while to have DiskWarrior renamed BaconSaver.....
It's a one trick pony, but it's a VERY good trick!

I got that eror when I tried to install a new OS on my MDD.
The current one was working fine.
I had to install a new hard drive to install the new OS on.
migrated everything from the old HD to the new HD.
I've gone back several times to try to figure it out.
The drive is still in there
It still boots 10.2 and works fine.
I haven't checked it in a long time, still shows as existing and valid.
I don't remember why now, but I couldn't nuke and pave the drive either.
Not much help, I know.
