typing in a dark room and found a neat Safari shortcut - Ombligo - 01-27-2008

So I'm up early and typing in the dark.. went to check a spelling of a highlighted word (apple-shift-colon) but instead hit Apple-Shift-L

It immediately opened a google search for the word and popped it up on my screen.

Maybe it's old news to many of you, but I never heard of this shortcut before.

Seems awkwarder* than right (or ctrl) -clicking on the thing. No need to highlight the thing, either.

*I know it's not a word, but it oughta be.

If you are using many Logitech mice you can highlight a word and right click "search"
and it will automatically do a google search.

I use this quite a bit in Camio & FireFox, and in Safari You can search google, spotlight, or dictionary,
