Favorite PC RAM vendors? - StingMe - 05-05-2008 I get all RAM upgrades for my Macs from our sponsor but I'm now looking to buy DIMMs for some Dells and wonder who the favorite vendors are these days. Crucial? DMS? Someone else? Looking for 1GB modules for a Dimension 2400 - PC2100 DDR SDRAM 266MHz 184 pin non-ecc unbuffered 128x64 DIMM. I suppose PC2700 will work as well - any issues mixing the two? Thanks! Re: Favorite PC RAM vendors? - Carthaigh - 05-05-2008 Newegg rocks. Re: Favorite PC RAM vendors? - JoeH - 05-05-2008 I stick with DMS. In fact, I found out about DMS from the PC techs I worked with and started using them almost a dozen years ago. Re: Favorite PC RAM vendors? - modelamac - 05-05-2008 I second DMS. Re: Favorite PC RAM vendors? - RAMd®d - 05-05-2008 DMS here too. Muffman - 05-05-2008 Dell says PC2700 is in the recommended specs. http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim2400/en/sm_en/specs.htm 1 GB modules are not on the list but Kingston says up to 1 GB PC3200 will work. www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configurator_new/modelsinfo.asp?SysID=16078&mfr=Dell&model=Dimension+2400&root=&LinkBack=&Sys=16078-Dell-Dimension+2400&distributor=0&submit1=Search http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configurator_new/modelsinfo.asp?SysID=16078&mfr=Dell&model=Dimension+2400&root=&LinkBack=&Sys=16078-Dell-Dimension+2400&distributor=0&submit1=Search |
