Craigslist apartment listings is by far the best mainstream resource. I'd think you'd know about it?
Better, though, is an online resource for a particular community or interest-
Jesus loves us forum, fixed gear bicycle kiddies e-mail list, leg-length-discrepency-sufferers for the legalization of marijuana listserv, etc,

I would if our local PD isn't the criminals themselves. They are on an extremely ugly public dispute with the city over salaries and benefits. First time ever in the city's history according to our neighbors.
