USB 1? USB 2? - jonny - 05-08-2008

How do I tell if a hub is USB 1? USB 2?

Thanks!

Hook up a USB2 device to the hub. If it takes 4 days to sync your iPod...

Or, go to System Profiler an click the USB tab. It will have the hub listd- highlight it and the pane below will say Max. speed 480MB if it's USB 2, 12MB if it's USB 1.

FYI, my System Profiler info says "USB High-Speed Bus", then the stuff connected to it underneath.

This is also a good spot to see if your DEVICE is high-speed USB. That's where it says 480 Mb/sec or 12 Mb/sec.

High Speed vs. Full Speed.
