I know there have been spot shortages of the iPhone for a month now, but I can't recall when Apple has ever listed a current product as "unavailable." Usually they just push the delivery date past when the new model will ship. So is this proof positive a new iPhone is near or just a database error?

It could easily be both.

Who *doesn't* expect a new phone at or around WWDC?

Some European markets have announced that the 8G will in no longer available and won't be.

Apple, doing something different? Whooda thunk it?
