Saving (downloading) a javascript-embedded movie file? - john dough - 05-12-2008

I am looking at a video at Lynda.com and would like to save it, for future reference, while I am offline (on a long plane ride). I have tried Firefox with Down-Them-All and with Safari by looking at activity (and trying to get the URL from that) but no luck.

How can this be done?

What kind of files are they?

Try the RealPlayer Downloader.

Every time a file is "savable" it will ask you if you want it. You might not be able to get it alone. If not, just download latest Real. Saved me from that whole Safari Activity thing for YouTube, etc.

WELL.... just tried it.... it's quicktime, and it isn't available despite QuickTime Pro... and Real doesn't see it. SO... the moral of the story is.... if the samples are the same as when you pay for it... YOU CAN'T!
