???? What bulbs are in there now? What base size? Do they need to be dimmable? What will be done in that area???? What OS, how much RAM, what apps are running etc, etc, etc!

CFL if the make them in your unspecified size. Not sure why you specified the quantity, if they exist, they should be mass produced and shouldn't have quantity limits.

I installed about 50 R30 CFL bulbs (non-dimmable) in my house 2 1/2 years ago, so far only one has burned out, but they do take 30-60 seconds to warm up to full brightness.

The warming up is a pain in the butt. The wife hates that, and I am not a fan either, but it saves power. I look forward to better tech in these bulbs.

depends upon what the pocket is like. i'd try out a CFL for a few months and see how it does. some recessed pockets don't dissipate heat and fry the bulb.

Yikes. Sorry guys. I posted my inquiry 5 minutes before I rolled over and snored. I'll find more info later on. The basement/studio already came with all these bulbs before we moved in. I will post the details later on.

I've had much better life w/ 13W CFs in enclosed overhead fixtures than w/ the 60W incandescents they replaced.

Don't do LED in ceiling cans. The electronics in them overheat. Do CFL's, the 40w equivalent wattage. I like the NVision spiral bulbs from Home Depot. 4pk for $8 something here. Very little time to warm up, almost un-noticeable.
