surrogate "leader"? - olnacl - 05-12-2008 I ordered a MacBook Pro for a friend (thanks to all who responded to questions on this purchase in earlier threads) and had it shipped to my home. I upped the RAM to 4 GB, installed XP Pro on a 32 GB FAT partition and set up a Time Capsule so WPA security and the initial backup was complete. I packed it up yesterday and left it with our shipping department this morning, on its way to St Louis. I frequently use a laptop on a tray desk in my dimly lit living room and thought the backlighted keys would be great - as they can be - but the way the light falls on the KB, the white keys on my MacBook are actually easier to see. So, mixed emotions to see it go, but it is a sweet machine. Re: surrogate "leader"? - Jimmypoo - 05-12-2008 Converted Leader!
