That was posted a few weeks ago, and I think several of us at least are using it. I haven't checked lately, but I am not sure it actually limits TM to backing up once at day; it seemed to me at the time that it was still backing up around 3x a day. Which was better than every hour. I will try to remember to check at home and see what it is doing now.

My impression is that it still backs up when I wake from sleep, even when TM editor is set to once a day.

You're absolutely right...I didn't search the forum before posting!

TM has 3 backups from yesterday and 4 backups from today for me, and then one for the days before that. This is much less than before I used time machine editor, which is good, but not "one a day" either as it appears to be set. But I am happy with this for now (TM does seem to slow waking from sleep by a few seconds).

Hi,

After 24 hours it should only keep one per day (the first backup of the day). In other words even if it runs 24 times after two days you will be down to one per day anyway,

Until it deletes the extra's it doesn't really matter if you have a few extra unless you need a version of a file modified at that particular point in time.
