Because he's an unbelievably arrogant, sweaty pig.
I have a hard time working up much of a hatred of Gates or Allen (I feel that Gates preyed on the stupidity of other companies, including Apple, more than anything). On the other hand. Ballmer's got the personality and business practices of a shark: no finesse or elegance, just brute force.
