I saw the cheap stuff was over $4 here last night.
I'm getting more and more glad I switched to an AMEX card that gives me 5% back on gas. That's over 20¢/gal now.

$3.85 by home (Indy), according to Gas Widget. $3.78 here in Nashville right now.

I saw the Indy noon news yesterday and it was $3.99 at the majors (Speedway etc ...)
I did a couple spot checks on my way home and it was $3.99 most places (had been $3.80'ish)
I usually buy gas at the Payless (Kroger) because they have 10 cents off with your customer card.
They were still at $3.82 so I filled up for $3.72 and went home and got the cans for the mowers
and went back and got another 7 gallons.
Their price was up to $3.99 a couple hours later.
Who would have thought that $3.72 would be a "bargain"

Jumped from $3.65 to $3.75 at the cheapie gas station down the road overnight the other day here in Central Arkansas. About $70ish to fill up the family van.

I have been meaning to get something like that.
It would help a little but not that much because I don't use that much gas.
It's not like I'm some poor schmuck who has to drive 70 miles one way in a truck or SUV to get to work. Other than the shock of seeing the gas station price signs as I go by, I hardly notice the difference in price because my car gets great mileage and I really don't drive very much.
However, I really notice the difference in the cost of everything else including food.

According to an article [about Michigan] in the [local]Sunday paper four years of recession has everyone escaping.

I'm still here, and I'm NOT leaving!!
I did escape Flint though. My hometown has lost over 100,000 GM jobs in the past 20 years. And it's been said for every GM job that goes, 19 non GM jobs follow.
