BSG (Spoilers) - Paul F. - 05-31-2008

Did they REALLY just give that away during the preview for next week????

Don't answer that... I don't WANT to know ahead of time!

At least The Colonel is gettin' some.

Some bastards killed what-his-names cat though... I'm not really happy about that! After all, given their situations, Cats are probably an endangered species, possibly below the number needed to maintain a healthy gene pool!

Re: BSG (Spoilers) - PeterB - 05-31-2008

Nope, that means she CANNOT be a Cylon. Three is messing with her head.

Colonel getting some -- it's bizarre, because we've never actually seen them together, and so that just seemed to come out of nowhere to me. Also, it does support the "final four" being substantially different from regular Cylons in that they seem to have no problems reproducing.

The cat -- I found that utterly bizarre.

Overall ... this episode didn't do it for me. Next week's looks to be better.

Re: BSG (Spoilers) - StarGlazer - 05-31-2008

What the frak ??

I thought the the episode two weeks ago was the season finale. It certainly seemed like a cliffhanger finale. Good thing I left my VCR preset in place. Why did they skip showing BSG last week?

And most important, how many episodes are left in this season and WHEN is the finale?

Oh, and one more thing, I hope the writers know what they are doing. I know from experience that when bureaucracies are in trouble and don't know what to do next, they re-organize management.

I assume they are polling grade school children for story ideas.

Does it even matter?

LOL!!!

To say this show has jumped the shark is the understatement of the decade.

Re: BSG (Spoilers) - Mactel - 05-31-2008

Did anyone notice that they dropped an f-bomb this episode and it wasn't frak. When the shot up Raptor appears and they go out to take a look the pilot says she can't see a f-cking thing from here. I was watching the episode on dvr and played it back a few times and it's definitely not a frak. Odd mistake to slip through. You guys catch this?

Re: BSG (Spoilers) - ztirffritz - 05-31-2008

I caught that too. What is strange is that this episode was shown last week in the UK. I torrented the episode but I thought that it was a duplicate of one I already had so I didn't watch it until tonight.

Re: BSG (Spoilers) - shadow - 05-31-2008

I was somewhat tired last night and zoned out for parts of the gun / dead cat scene. I guess it is saying something about the show that I didn't feel the need to rewind and watch it again.

So we have a cat that has been "dead for weeks". But didn't we see the cat alive a few scenes earlier?

And what was the deal with the backstory about the shuttlecraft and his family? He has guilt because he stayed on the shuttlecraft instead of going back to his family, right?

I assumed that it was just editing and, in reality, 3 was really talking to Sam.

Yes, that makes sense -- and then with Roslyn looking on in amazement -- will be interesting to see how she chooses to deal with THAT particular bit of news, considering that Sam has been nothing but loyal to the fleet and his colleagues.

The "dead cat for weeks" thing -- I took it to mean that what was in the bag was his wife's cat. His wife and family-- IIRC, he had guilt because he escaped and they didn't. The cat was effectively then all he had left of his wife, and the other survivors killed it.

I'm afraid I agree. The show two weeks ago was excellent, but this week they were right back to soap-opera making-up-crap.
