Semi-OT(?) Is it possible to install older IE in XP [via VMWare Fusion]? - john-o - 06-02-2008

I'm wondering if I screwed up by letting M$oft automatically update IE to version 7 in my XP virtual machine (using Fusion, fwiw)... I'd like to be able to test web designs in IE 6, since it seems to have so many more issues (and is likely much more widely used than 7), but when I downloaded it to install, it wouldn't let me because a newer version was installed. Do I need to uninstall 7 first, or is there some sort of hack that will allow me to run both?

FYI, I've already got Firefox installed, and use that as the default....

TIA,
John

IE 5.5? I guess it might have been important 2 years ago and they just have not bothered to remove it...
