Based on my understanding of the stats, it would burn itself out within two weeks if left on all the time. No problems with any of the machines for that month and a half. When the $400 electric bill came the next month I figured that was that... The bill was about twice as high as a normal summer month... It's not only the device itself but also the heat load that your AC has to handle. This is the huge advantage of fluorescent lighting over incandescent in office buildings (and in smaller volume at home). Where did you get that quote? I did not see it anywhere in the pages listed in the contents. I was looking to see which version of the PS3 they tested, the new ones use a quarter less. It also is in $AU and the power rates are almost 50% higher than where I live.
