Need OS X for Dummies-Style Book ... - chopper - 06-04-2008

I'm giving my old G4 to an older friend of the family. She used a Mac previously --in "1985 or 1986" when she worked in an office that had some of the original Macs or like thereof.

Anyway, it has 10.4 on it and is ready to run.

She has not used any kind of computer since 1986 or so.

Can anyone recommend a good basic book on not just OS X but in using a Mac computer?

The OS is the computer. What's to learn other than the OS? The computer itself has an on and off button and some i/o ports plus the guts. Surely she's not interested in video cards and processors. She just want to know stuff like how to email and compose a letter and upload a picture with her camera, right?

OS X, The Missing manual

I had the 10.2 version when I went to X, and it helped a lot.

edit... D'oh! I never checked his link. So, two votes!
